CMG-100 is the Eight Point Solutions Crowd Management Course for Security Professionals, a 4-hour online course for security officers, event staff, venue staff, crowd managers counted toward a fire marshal's ratio, supervisors, and anyone who stands between a crowd and the space it is trying to fill. Delivered self-paced on the EPS Portal from Lanham, Maryland, the course trains the officer to treat a crowd as a security function from the moment it forms: read a crowd by density and not by mood, know the four shapes of space that kill and where they are in the venue, run the queue from the back where the pressure comes from, open the doors on time with every lane running, hold a pen at its count without a hand on anyone, request the show stop early, move a crowd with voice, barriers, space, and time, release the building in order, and write the report that proves someone was watching. Content aligns with NFPA 101 and International Fire Code crowd manager requirements, Event Safety Alliance show stop practice, ASIS International security officer guidance, and International Association of Venue Managers practice. Tuition is $25.00. The official CMG-100 Course Syllabus, Version 1.0 is included in Module 1. Five modules cover the crowd manager and the crowd, reading a crowd, ingress and the queue, managing the crowd inside the venue, and egress, incidents, and the record. Completion requires all five modules, every module quiz passed at 80 percent or higher, the 50-item final examination passed at 90 percent or higher, and the course sign-off. The EPS Crowd Management Certification is serial-numbered, recorded in the EPS registry, verifiable through the EPS Portal, and valid for two years. Establishes the rule that runs the whole course: a crowd is a security function from the moment it forms. States the limit plainly: a crowd is never moved with hands, and no officer locks an exit.

Module 2: Reading a Crowd

Covers density in persons per square meter and what each level looks like from a post, why panic and stampede are the wrong words and compressive asphyxia and progressive crowd collapse are the killers, the four shapes of space that kill with the cases that prove it, the warning signs in the order they appear, the moments on the schedule that trigger a surge, counting and occupant load, and the crowd report in the EPS radio format.

Module 3: Ingress and the Queue

Covers the line as the first crowd of the night, lanes and barriers that do the work, talking to the line, the doors opening on time with every lane running, the lane you close as a bottleneck you built, holding the line from the side with barrier and voice, the accessible and credential lanes, the ticket problem in a line, weather, and the report from the door at density three.

Module 4: Managing the Crowd Inside the Venue

Covers the concourse, the seating bowl, the general admission floor with its pens, counts, holds, and releases, the front of stage barrier and the pit, moving a crowd with voice, barriers, space, the public address system, and time, the show stop and who decides it, and the fight, the medical emergency, the climber, and the intoxicated guest inside a crowd. States the limit plainly: nobody enters a dense crowd, and nobody lifts who was not trained and assigned.

Module 5: Egress, Incidents, and the Record

Covers normal egress as the largest and least watched crowd of the night, releasing the building in order with every door open, stairs and the ground outside, the weather hold, incidents at egress, the moment a crowd night becomes an emergency and the handoff to EEV-100, the sweep, the debrief, and the same-day report with the density, the counts, the hold times, and the releases.
