GEX-100: Guest Experience Course for Security Professionals

GEX-100 is the Eight Point Solutions Guest Experience Course for Security Professionals, a 4-hour online course for security officers, event staff, venue staff, front desk and lobby personnel, supervisors, and anyone who stands between the public and a facility with a uniform on. Delivered self-paced on the EPS Portal from Lanham, Maryland, the course trains the officer to own the guest's night from the curb to the exit: run the queue, the door, wayfinding, re-entry, and egress as security functions, meet ADA Title III public accommodation requirements without guessing, handle service animals by the two questions the law allows and nothing else, run a lost child protocol to the standard the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children publishes, serve every guest to the same standard regardless of background, and write the incident report that survives review. Content aligns with ADA Title III, the Code Adam model, ASIS International security officer guidance, and International Association of Venue Managers guest services practice. Tuition is $25.00. The official GEX-100 Course Syllabus, Version 1.0 is included in Module 1. Five modules cover the guest journey, ADA Title III compliance for security personnel, service animal policy, lost child protocols and vulnerable persons, and cultural awareness and incident report writing. Completion requires all five modules, every module quiz passed at 80 percent or higher, the 50-item final examination passed at 90 percent or higher, and the course sign-off. The EPS Guest Experience Certification is serial-numbered, recorded in the EPS registry, verifiable through the EPS Portal, and valid for two years. The credential documents completion of EPS training. It is not a state security license, it does not replace employer post orders, and it does not authorize any use of force. GEX-100 is governed by EPS-DIR-001 and the GEX-100 Course Syllabus. Built to be taken alongside CSV-100, the EPS Customer Service Course. Samuel Romanzo, Training Director. Kawika Rogers, Managing Partner.

Modules & lessons.

01
Module 1: The Guest Journey
3 lessons · 0.5 hours, self-paced. Closes with a quiz that passes at 80 percent. Covers the EPS Portal from login through the final examination, the course map, and the grading rules that govern certification. Establishes the rule that runs the whole course: at a venue, the officer is the guest experience. Walks the guest's night as a chain of contacts the officer owns: arrival, the queue, the door, wayfinding, the seat, the concourse, re-entry, and departure, and the guests who walk it differently.
02
Module 2: ADA Title III Compliance for Security Personnel
1 lesson · 1.0 hours, self-paced. Closes with a quiz that passes at 80 percent. Covers what Title III of the Americans with Disabilities Act requires of a public accommodation and of the officer standing at its door: reasonable modifications of policy, effective communication, mobility device access, and safety decisions based on actual risk rather than assumption. Separates the direct threat standard from the discomfort of a staff member who has never dealt with the situation before.
03
Module 3: Service Animal Policy
1 lesson · 0.5 hours, self-paced. Closes with a quiz that passes at 80 percent. Covers the ADA definition of a service animal, the two questions staff may ask and the questions they may never ask, the two conditions under which an animal can be removed, and the rule that the person stays welcome even when the animal does not. Covers emotional support animals, allergies, fear of dogs, and the surcharge prohibition, because every one of those is where venues get sued.
04
Module 4: Lost Child Protocols and Vulnerable Persons
1 lesson · 0.5 hours, self-paced. Closes with a quiz that passes at 80 percent. Covers the lost child protocol built on the Code Adam model published by the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children: description, announcement, exits, search, the ten-minute rule for law enforcement, the reunification check, and the cancel. Extends the same discipline to lost adults, persons in medical or mental health crisis, and intoxicated guests who cannot care for themselves.
05
Module 5: Cultural Awareness and Incident Report Writing
1 lesson · 0.5 hours, self-paced. Closes with a quiz that passes at 80 percent. Covers cultural awareness as an operational skill: the officer serves every guest to the same standard and reads behavior, not background. Closes the course with the incident report, the document that outlives the shift: who, what, when, where, how, in first person, in order, facts only, written the same day, because the report is the officer's only witness a year later.
