Introduction to Presence, Deterrence, and Visibility on Post
This course introduces presence, deterrence, and visibility as the foundation of effective security work on post. Learners are shown how a visible, attentive, and professional officer discourages problems before they start, and how posture, positioning, movement, and bearing shape the way a site is perceived by employees, visitors, and potential offenders. The course pairs the EPS lesson with a supporting video on Crime Prevention Through Environmental Design, reinforcing that a security officer is part of the environment that either invites or discourages wrongdoing.
