Bottling Technician II

Job Description

Position: Bottling Technician II
Location: San Diego, CA – Onsite
Contract- 6+ Months

Hours: 40 hours per week / 8 hours per day

Rate : $18/hr on W2

Position Overview

The Bottling Technician II will support the Form, Fill, and Finish Group and will be responsible for processing product formulations, dispensing antibody products, capping and labeling vials, tubes and bottles, assembling kits, completing batch records, and putting away Finished Goods Inventory.

This is a highly team-oriented position that requires close collaboration with other teams within the Bottling Department as well as Planning, Receiving, Inventory Control, Custom Solution, Packaging, and Quality Control groups.

This is a fast-paced opportunity for someone interested in building or advancing their career in the biotechnology industry.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with various bottling-related activities, including dispensing antibody solutions, capping and labeling vials, tubes and bottles, and assembling kits.

  • Formulate products according to approved Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and work instructions.

  • Perform multi-component/cocktail formulations as required.

  • Verify formulation worksheets to ensure concentrations, lot numbers, and other required information are accurate.

  • Dispense liquid products accurately using appropriate pipetting or dispensing techniques.

  • Set up and prepare equipment for ongoing operations.

  • Operate computer-controlled process and support equipment, including filling lines, lyophilizers, capping equipment, labeling machines, and related equipment.

  • Follow established procedures, policies, SOPs, work instructions, and health and safety guidelines.

  • Complete batch records, production documentation, and other required documentation accurately.

  • Perform data entry and maintain accurate production records.

  • Put finished goods away according to designated temperature and storage conditions.

  • Clean and maintain the work area, laboratory equipment, and supplies.

  • Maintain high standards of quality, productivity, accuracy, and safety.

  • Work effectively with cross-functional teams within Bottling and other departments.

  • Perform other projects or responsibilities as required.

Required Qualifications

  • At least 6 months of relevant experience in a laboratory, biotechnology manufacturing, filling, bottling, or packaging environment; OR a Bachelor's degree in a related field.

  • At least 6 months of hands-on experience with pipetting or dispensing liquid products.

  • Ability to follow SOPs, work instructions, policies, and safety procedures.

  • Basic computer skills, including experience using Microsoft Excel.

  • Strong attention to detail and ability to accurately document production activities.

  • Ability to work effectively in a highly team-oriented and fast-paced environment.

  • Strong focus on quality, productivity, and accuracy.

  • Ability to work onsite in San Diego, CA.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with automatic or automated filling machines.

  • Experience with filling lines or other automated production equipment.

  • Experience with aseptic technique.

  • Experience working inside a biosafety cabinet (BSC).

  • Experience in biotech or pharmaceutical manufacturing.

  • Experience with capping and labeling equipment.

  • Experience with lyophilizers or other computer-controlled process equipment.

  • Experience with batch records, manufacturing documentation, or GMP-regulated environments.

Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in a biotech, pharmaceutical, laboratory, or manufacturing environment, along with strong pipetting/liquid-handling skills. Experience with automated filling equipment, aseptic techniques, SOPs, batch documentation, and production processes would be highly valuable.
